About the position: This position will be assigned to the Auto Skills/Auto Hobby on Nellis AFB, NV.
Regular Part Time employees are guaranteed 20 hours, but may work up to 34 hours per week.
This position does offer benefits.
Must be able to lift 45 pounds or more.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to serve as a salesclerk at the Auto Skills facility. Under direction of the Arts and Crafts Manager, assists with the development and implementation of program plans. Responsible for direct contact with internal and external customers. Arranges for supplies and services needed to accomplish scheduled activities. Ensures that work site materials and tools are available. Checks with manager for changes in daily functions and special events. Opens facility and care bays at the start of each day. Assigns vehicle lifts and bays to customers. Provides guidance and instructions on basic automotive repairs. Secures facility and ensure that all tools and equipment are accounted for daily. Reports facility repairs and maintenance requirements according to procedures. Assists in maintaining facility to meet operation standards. Collects fees and protects funds. Reconciles sales reports and completes end of shift paperwork and necessary documentation for deposits. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Oversight of Base Car Wash, replacing hoses and ordering chemicals specifically for Car Wash system. Performs other related duties as assigned. Will be required to work weekends, and some holidays.

Qualifying Experience:
Must be familiar with basic automotive mechanics, tools, and equipment. Prefer experience in clerical duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items and use of cash accountability control method. Other computer experience recommended. Must be highly customer-oriented and provide helpful customer relations at all times.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
