About the position: This position will be assigned to Desert Eagle RV Park/Fam Camp on Nellis AFB, NV.
Regular Part Time employees are guaranteed 20 hours, but may work up to 34 hours per week.
This position does offer benefits.
Must be able to obtain an AED target responder certification within 90 days of hire.
Duties
Receives, confirms, and inputs campsite reservations by telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face contact into the camp reservation system. Registers guests, assigns campsites, and checks IDs to ensure only authorized customers us the facility. Provides a variety of travel advice and information to customers about local and surrounding area. Maintains daily financial cashier reports, end-of-month inventory reports, occupancy reports, contract host files, equipment account files, budget files, and prepares welcome packages and reference material to assist customers. Informs patrons of all rules and regulations established for the facility. Use tact and diplomacy to enforces rules as necessary. Identifies clients that are due to pay and ensures patrons check out on time. Inspects facility and grounds to ensure safety hazards are removed or reported to be corrected. Organizes a variety of activities on a recurring basis for patron participation. Assists the Family Camp Manager with daily operations to include generating memos, reports, letters, e-mails, faxes, and correspondence to obtain promotional materials. Works night and weekend shifts as required. Maintains continuity log to record significant daily events, for office shift workers. Responsible for the daily operation of the park during Manager's absence. Helps train volunteer workers and camp hosts. Assists customers with connecting to the wireless internet access provided by the Family Camp. Operates cash register, accepts payments, makes change, and issues receipts. Prepares daily cashier's report and makes deposits at Accounting Office (AO) each day. Accesses Services Agency Information Systems (SAIS) and NAF Date Interface System (NAFDIS), and NAF Resources Information System (NAFRIS) to prepare daily financial reports and end-of-month inventory accounting. Takes monthly inventories of resale merchandise and notifies Manager of items needing to be ordered. Assist with balancing the FamCamp account at the end of each month to include inventory and producing all end-of-month required reports and checking the trial balance provided by AO. Operates the RV Park Postal Station; receives, sorts, distributes mail. Inspects the laundromat area daily, maintains coin machine, and calls contractor to repair washers and dryers as needed. Helps custodial workers clean bathrooms and showers facility when assistance is needed, and custodial workers are not on shift. Maintains a clean and orderly office and lobby area, keeps the front counter clean, dusted, and attractively arranged. Helps Manager identify and report grounds maintenance requirements to assigned laborers. Maintains the two assigned automated external defibrillators (AED) with knowledge on how to use the equipment. Assigned as alternate manager of the AED target responder program. Responds to difficult emergency situations and call 911. Accesses Internet based Purchasing System (IBPS) to help Manager process contractor payments. Helps Manager create host work schedule. Assigned as alternate equipment custodian and helps manager keep track of the equipment and accomplish the annual inventory. Helps manager update the FamCamp site maps, and coordinates with contractors to produce new brochures. Helps manager track volunteer hours and report hours to the Airman & Family Readiness Center.
Requirements
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess a valid state driver's license.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have experience in general clerical work which provides knowledge that the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform at the grade level of the position. Highly desirable communication and customer service skills. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, and use of cash accountability control methods. Must be able to multi-task and capable of handling a variety of difficulty emergency situations. Must have computer skills and knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Must have knowledge of wireless internet access. Ability to understand military customs and courtesies. Ability to communicate in English through reading, orally, and in writing.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
