Duties
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
GS-13 For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this position Includes:
Experience in a wide range of security techniques and approaches, as well as new and evolving trends in security program development and administration;
Experience with regulations, procedures and policy to safeguard and store sensitive information and if necessary, the requirements for marking, access controls, need to know criteria and safeguarding of national security information;
Experience planning to work with top-level management on the security program's role in supporting an agency's long-term strategic goals and objectives;
Experience applying security policies and procedures in an environment where the workforce is in direct and daily contact with the public; and
Experience and skill in maintaining a budget, as well as the processes, procedures and requirements concerning the formulation, justification and execution of program budgets.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education may not be substituted at the GS-14 grade level.
