As a Lead IT Specialist (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-14 level, you will be part of Office of the Inspector General, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will serve as a Senior Team Lead and Subject Matter Expert for the Information Systems Audits Group (ISAG), Office of Audits (OA), Office of the Inspector General, Office of Personnel Management.
Duties
Leads a team of professional IT auditors ranging in grade from GS-5 through GS-13
Oversees audits performed by staff to ensure compliance.
Evaluates internal controls for programs to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
Analyzes audits performed by staff to ensure compliance.
Directs efforts of staff to ensure audit is performed effectively.
Writes technical documents to record audit findings.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements: You must have Information Technology (IT) related experience that demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies. Do you have:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Additional requirements:
For the GS14: You must have You must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level which includes: (1) Auditing IT systems to assess the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of program operations; (2) Devising IT audit methodologies as determined by the analysis or risk assessment of program areas; (3)Testing the effectiveness of general and application controls over computer-processed data including accounting, benefits, and program information systems; and 4) Planning and carrying out the work of a team of professional auditors. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 14 level.
