About the Position: Position is located at Human Resources Command (HRC), Enlisted Personnel Management Directive (EPMD), Operations Management Division, Special Actions Branch at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Compile and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies and accomplishments related to assigned program(s).
Responsible for the continuity of the operations by maintaining working knowledge of past/present operations, previous problems encountered, decisions made and means employed to correct deficiencies and effect improvements.
Give instruction on policy procedures and answers questions on problems encountered.
Assign work to team members and ensure timely performance and satisfactory quality of work.
Prepare reports and present briefings to inform officials of analysis results for use in the decision-making process or for in-progress status information.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time.

Specialized Experience is defined as: one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 in the Federal Service which includes experience providing guidance, interpretations, training and/or briefings on current and proposed policies for assigned military personnel action programs to a wide variety of individuals, managers, and key officials. Experience providing accurate and timely guidance to requests for information received from various inquirers. Composes correspondence as necessary to higher headquarters or other military agencies to clarify questionable areas, drafting correspondence detailing final decision to concerned individuals. Experience in the operation, maintenance and management of the automated systems for military/civilian personnel. Experience providing advice and guidance to administrative and military/civilian personnel office staff on the operation and capabilities available through the system(s). Recommending changes to operating instructions relative to system operations. Experience supporting management goals by developing, designing and/or approving locally developed system applications.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
