Duties
You will assess and validate authorization packages for information systems on the network.
You will review changes for security implications and security applications.
You will evaluate and document methods to mitigate or correct risks.
You will use the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to develop authorized recommendations.
You will periodically review security control testing results.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Incumbent shall consent to and be subject to a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope polygraph examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, in specialty area 722-Information Systems Security Manager, proficiency level Advanced, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one-year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: ensures that necessary technology, policy, guidance, and support is provided to the Department of Navy and NCIS.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work
unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing guidance and technical direction in support of IT infrastructure, implementation and maintenance worldwide.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the
audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Collaborating with various point of contacts inside and outside the agency to provide advice and guidance to obtain and maintain system accreditations.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and
evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: exercise independent judgement and original thinking, maintain consistency in responding to problem solving; adapt to changing requirements and conditions.
GS-13-In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: Utilizing network data collection and system engineering capabilities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Cyber; Assessing and validating authorization packages for information technology; and Reviewing security implications and security applications.
