This position is located within the Office of Airports (ARP). Provides support and assistance to management and staff in the preparation, review, and/or editing of written materials for various activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Duties
The Writer-Editor performs multiple and varying written communications assignments under the limited direction of a manager or more experienced professional. The incumbent is a contributor and team member and may perform some leadership functions for small projects/programs and other work activities. Applies experience and advanced knowledge of technical writing and editing to draft regulatory and/or informational materials for a wide range of internal and external audiences. Utilizes and adheres to Associated Press guidelines and agency writing requirements to draft, proofread, and edit technical documents for grammatical correctness, punctuation, clarity, tone, and consistency. With review and approval from management, finalizes written text used to establish, modify, explain, or defend organizational policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G, FG/GS-10/11 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Specialized experience for the FV-H is defined as: Experience drafting, reviewing, and finalizing written communications products (i.e. agency regulations and policies, speeches, briefings, reports, presentations, pamphlets, brochures, newsletters, web-based content, Congressional responses, public inquiries, etc.). ANDExperience providing support and assistance to management and/or staff in the preparation of technical documents for a variety of projects, programs, or initiatives. ANDExperience applying Associated Press guidelines and agency/organizational branding and/or writing requirements to draft, proofread, and edit technical documents for grammatical correctness, punctuation, format, style, content, clarity, tone, and consistency.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
