This position is located within the Office of Airports (ARP). Provides support and assistance to management and staff in the preparation, review, and/or editing of written materials for various activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Duties
The Writer-Editor performs multiple, varying, and complex written communications under the minimal direction of a manager or more experienced professional. The incumbent is a contributing team member on large work activities or a project manager or team leader for large projects/programs and work assignments.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Specialized experience for the FV-I is defined as: Experience developing, reviewing, and editing written communications products developed by others for publication (i.e. agency regulations and policies, speeches, briefings, presentations, newsletters, web-based content, Congressional responses, etc.) for use by management to address complex technical issues. ANDExperience critically reviewing written documents to ensure adherence with Associated Press guidelines and agency/organizational branding and/or writing requirements, grammatical correctness, punctuation, format, style, content, clarity, tone, and consistency. ANDExperience communicating technical information to internal and external audiences.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
