Duties
Establishes and promulgates MACOM policies and procedures regarding development and coordination of annual nonstandard, standard, Title X, and training ammunition requirements for all United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).
Develops operational requirements outlining requirement and procurement objective for ammunition to support the USASOC.
Develops ammunition requirements to meet operational and training requirements through research, testing, evaluation and ultimately procurement.
Assists subordinate units and MACOM staff in establishing the standard ammunition budget, funding for transporting ammunition and demilitarization of obsolete munitions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Preparing, documenting and tracking ammunition authorizations/allocations and expenditures using the Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) and other munitions related management systems. Analyzing ammunition requirements; Coordinating with installations and Depots for transportation, issue of training, operational and combat load ammunition. Managing procurement of ammunitions; Conducting oversight and compliance inspections and Maintaining Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
