About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS & CSS Force Projection. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, Force Projection. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS and PEO GCS with locations at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI.

Duties

Serves as an expert and provides advice, guidance and assistance to Program Executive Office (PEO) and/or a Project/Product Manager (PM) concerning the acquisition planning and contractual/procurement aspects of highly complex major weapon systems. The contracts range from engineering and management services to research and development through production and product improvement, covering the full range of contract types. Procurements necessitate the use of a wide variety of cost reimbursement, cost plus fixed, incentive or award fee and fixed price contracts. The work requires expert knowledge of procurement statutes and regulations and/or contracting methods, policies, procedures, and contract types to participate in pre-award and/or post award procurement actions. Makes decisions or recommendations that significantly affect the content, interpretation, or development of complex, long-range, or interrelated programs. Acts as coordination point for inspection, review or audit teams. Analyzes, evaluates and reviews proposed and on-going procurements for highly complex, high monetary value, long term acquisitions for non- MDAP and major weapon systems/programs. Advises the PM on the preparation of Source Selection Evaluation Plans, evaluation criteria and weighing methodologies.Serves as an advisor to project officials in procurement planning meetings.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 10% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Professional within 60 months as of entrance on duty
