You will serve as an Geographer at the GG-12 grade level responsible for providing technical expertise in the integration, analysis, dissemination, maintenance and archive of geospatial productsand geo-data sets for the S6 Directorate Geospatial Support Services branch for the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity.
Duties
You will develop analytical tools and methodologies and analyzes data bases to draw specific conclusions.
You will maintain liaison with personnel in assigned and related fields, such as those in other intelligence agencies and
Allied foreign governments, to discuss mutual intelligence problems and production efforts.
You will review intelligence products prepared by other government agencies or other elements of his/her assigned activity for technical accuracy and logical treatment and interpretation of information.
You will plan, conduct and oversee technical evaluations of difficult and/or complex items of intelligence interest.
You will have an understanding the Geographic Information System (GIS) and possesses knowledge of critical interpretation of data compilation, geo-analysis, and provides GIS information regarding location and interrelationships.
Requirements

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:
Compile and generate geo-web quarterly and year-end reports for interpretation and utilization of GIS products/data and evaluates reports for dissemination analysis on geospatial user experience upgrades.
Plan and carry out all assignments necessary to process all-source material and produce pertinent scientific and technical intelligence.
Collects, reviews, interprets, evaluates and integrates data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of development for geo-analysis.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must posses:
Degree: geography; or related physical or social science such as geology, meteorology, economics, statistics, sociology, anthropology, political science, history, cartography, computer science, urban studies, or planning that included at least 24 semester hours in geography or related fields.
OR
Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in geography, or a related field that included at least 24 semester hours in geography or related fields, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
