Duties
You will serve as a recognized authority and represent the System Design and Development (SDD) Director.
You will conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analysis.
You will ensure the integration of all systems components, procedures, databases, policies, software and hardware.
You will coordinate with external stakeholder organizations to validate and verify interface requirements to achieve system integration and interoperability certifications.
You will define system and interface requirements to support integration and activities for a system-of-systems (SOS).
You will manage system interface certification documentation, including interface control and design documents.
You will assess policy needs and will develop policies governing IT activities, and IT management defining current and future business environments.
You will perform needs analysis to define opportunities for new of improved business process solutions.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Consulting customers to identify system requirements, scope and objectives, establishing metrics to measure and evaluate system performance, developing strategic plans and policies related to IT management, conducting audits of IT programs and projects, AND preparing cost estimates and budgets..
