The primary purpose of this position is to provide VAMC leadership and line manager(s)with objectively based information for various assigned Director's Programs for making decisions on the administrative aspects of organizational operations and management. Accountable for the All Employee Survey (AES) and Best Practice Work Coordination (BPTW) Champion work. This includes mapping and aligning employees with service; and data mining.
Duties
Develops recommendations for program officials and supervisors and strives to have viable recommendations accepted by operating components.
Develops recommendations for improvements in administrative operations and to promote efficiency and cost savings.
Provides higher management with reports, evaluated information, budgetary proposals and similar products necessary for effective direction of administrative operations.
Establishes study methods and techniques to be utilized in substantive program studies and audits.
Completes analyses of data and identifies administratively significant findings.
Analyzes and evaluates on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of administrative functions and operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
Work Schedule: 7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/14/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: summarizing date, date entry, developing engagement strategies, organization, leading/co-leading teams, excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
****NOTE: Evidence of specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held on your resume. You must provide work experience information such as hours per week, salary, and starting/ending dates of employment (month and year format) to establish you have one (1) full year of Specialized Experience at or comparable to the required grade level.****

Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
