This position is located at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA. The primary purpose of this position is to assist VAMC leadership and line manager(s) with making decisions on the administrative aspects of organizational operations and management. The position is also responsible for the All Employee Survey (AES) and Best Practice Work Coordination (BPTW) Champion work.
Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develops recommendations for program officials and supervisors and strives to have viable recommendations accepted by operating components;
Develops recommendations for improvements in administrative operations and to promote efficiency and cost savings;
Evaluates, processes, and makes recommendations for effective organizational changes;
Participates in discussions, meetings, conferences and conference calls with agency administrators, senior subject matter and technical personnel, and other federal agency officials;
Establishes study methods and techniques to be utilized in substantive program studies and audits;
Develops and employs advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of organizational programs;
Reviews and reconciles large amounts of data;
Completes analyses of data and identifies administratively significant findings;
Prepares status reports for review;
Performs other duties as assigned
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:00am-3:30pm

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes developing employee engagement strategies, summarizing data, leading/co-leading teams, and developing recommendations for improvements in administrative operations and effective organizational changes. NOTE: Your experience must be documented in your resume to receive full credit.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates.
