About the Position: This is a permanent position with the U.S. Army Military Police School (USAMPS), Directorate of Training and Education, Doctrine Developments Division, Collective Training Branch at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Duties

Maintain close and continuous contact with training departments to assist in applying ADDIE guidance to collective training material preparation. Provide review of Collective Training products produced by the Military Police (MP) School and non-proponent Collective products to ensure sufficiency of MP doctrine. Develop strategies to provide the foundation to identify, develop, acquire, and manage resources for the total MP Corps. Interact with a number of Army systems including Combat Developments (CD); the budget process; the ADDIE; and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS). Responsible for the development and maintenance of information pertinent to the decision making process that culminates in the finished collective training program. Plan, conduct/participate in the analysis phase of the ADDIE process which includes front-end analysis (FEA), task inventory development, and critical task selection. Monitor receipt and processing of computer based technical information from the Combined Arms Center. Utilize knowledge of the ADDIE, TRADOC Reg 350-70 and the validation process in dealing with SMEs and doctrinal developers to ensure consistency and continuity between classroom instruction, approved doctrine and unit (collective) training. Perform writer/editor function for accomplishing assignments independently with work reviewed as progresses for conformance to guidelines and instructions. Coordinate with illustrators, visual information specialists, and subject-matter experts to ensure comprehensive dummy and camera-ready mechanical communicate the intended training.

Qualifications: Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); supervising or administering a Military Police training program using the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation process; developing or reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluating training results; working in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Criminal Law. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (orequivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum DevelopmentTraining and Education AnalysisWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
