You will serve as the Workforce Development and Training Lead for Team Submarines Corporate Operations, in PEO Attack Submarines of PEO SSN.

Duties

You will serve as advisor/coordinator for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating Command workforce development and training programs. You will be responsible for analyzing and identifying the training and development needs of employees in accordance with the Command’s mission and goals. You will provide workforce development and training program management, evaluate program effectiveness is meeting requirements, and recommend changes to programs as needed. You will prepare and present reports and briefings on program status and/or recommends action to key staff elements. You will inform the workforce of training opportunities; assists managers in ensuring that employees have the opportunity to develop, maintain, and update skills and competencies; explore other areas of interest and receive training. You will evaluate problems, deficiencies, and inadequacies identified in administering training and development programs within the Command. You will keep abreast of trends in training and development concepts and philosophies and changes in the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy policies, procedures, techniques, and programs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating workforce training programs to identify issues and recommend process improvements for an organization.
