Duties

You will perform inspections on electrical maintenance and repair and construction work. You will review pre-bid contract specifications for compatibility with the administration of quality assurance methods and procedures. You will serve as point of contact with private contractor, explain contractual obligations, interpret drawings, specifications, performance schedules, safety measure, invoicing procedures and more. You will review contractor estimates for accuracy. You will investigate complaints from customers relative to service, damages, property loss, and other matters which involve the contract.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

7Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions and effecting resolution of problems related to fulfillment of contract obligations or responsibilities. Education


In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on an equivalent combination of education and experience as follows:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.B. or J.D., if related or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
