About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Assign task to be performed.
Investigate work related problems (e.g., low productivity) to identify causes.
Ensure that personnel are properly trained in and observe/follow all aspects of hazardous material/waste management.
Maintain production reports and records.

Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require a one-year supervisory probationary period.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Machinist Supervisor without more than normal supervision.
Perform common Machinist Supervisor duties. I can lead machinists in a manufacturing environment, I can set work schedules and establish priorities, and complete production reports. I can plan work sequences to have work completed by deadlines. I work under close supervision of a work leader/supervisor who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.- Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
