You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER (HMT/BLS) for COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS.
Duties
You will provide immediate oversight and direction of Firefighters and Firefighter-Paramedics, day-to-day operations at a fire station for assigned engine, and ambulance companies for an assigned shift.
You will plan and assign work to be accomplished by subordinate workforce based on priorities and deadlines, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments.
You will direct, participate in, and evaluate practice drills and training classes for assigned station.
You will execute standard and specialized procedures (such as confined space rescue, rope rescue and vehicle extraction) an knowledge of radiation hazards, chemical and biological products.
You will serve as the initial incident commander on a variety of fires and other emergencies, developing strategy based on known incident factors, employee and apparatus capability, and protocols.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work.
- Must be certified by the DoD Firefighter Certification System as Fire Officer II (includes Fire Officer I), Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, and HAZMAT Incident Commander (includes Hazmat Awareness, HAZMAT Operations and Hazmat Technician.
- Must be credentialed and maintain National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing structural firefighting and rescue operations, assisting in reducing and/or eliminate potential fire hazards; and provide technical assistance to subordinates in fire suppression/protection for structures.
