You will serve as a FIRE CHIEF in the capacity of the Deputy Fire Chief for Joint Region Marianas Fire & Emergency Services of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS.

Duties

You will plan, develop, conduct, implement and execute the installation Fire and Emergency Services programs. You will develop plans and operating procedures to be used to carry out Fire and Emergency Services for the protection of lives and property. You will organize responds to hazardous operations involving structural, aircrafts, medical response, shipboard and hazardous materials incidents. You will assist commands in disaster preparedness planning, training and operations. You will advise commands on fire protection directives required to maintain a fire protection program consistent with the requirements of the command. You will review and implement policy directives form higher authority; interprets and/or recommends decisions regarding any conflicting polity or regulations.

• This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing policies, providing training in fire protection and prevention, and performing full operational and managerial control over the following programs: fire suppression, fire prevention, advanced life support, and hazardous incident response. Must possess a current certification as Firefighter Officer IV, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, and Hazardous Material Incident Commander issued by the Department of Defense (DoD), International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or ProBoard.
