You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Guided Missile Frigate (FFG 62) Program Office of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
Duties
You will serve a senior Assistant Program Manager (APM) for Acquisition, located within the Guided Missile Frigate (FFG 62) Program Office.
You will be responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating and executing all activities related to the acquisition of the FFG 62 including contract management, acquisition strategy development, and future FFG procurement planning.
You will provide expert advice and guidance on budget and financial management strategies and approaches as they relate to the principles of supporting and acquiring FFG 62.
You will assure the technical adequacy and accuracy of completed assignments and assist in resolving problems that arise from ambiguous and conflicting priorities, policies and regulations.
You will analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of program requirements throughout the lifecycle.
You will develop and implement improvements and efficiency strategies for programming, budgeting and procurement based on program analysis findings.
You will serve as the program office point of contact for external organizations on all acquisition related matters.
You will provide a wide range of substantive oral and written presentations and reports to internal and external stakeholders.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalency), in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing program requirements or functions (e.g. contract and acquisition planning, budget planning, development and execution, schedules, project planning, resource allocation, problem resolution, performance, risk assessments, strategic planning, data analysis, and process improvement) to support the development, acquisition, maintenance, or modernization of surface ships, or shipboard systems.
