About the Position: You will serve as a subject matter expert for system data accuracy and web page compliance, to include Unit Identification Code (UIC) management within the Total Army Personnel Database - Active Enlisted (TAPDB-AE) and the Enlisted Distribution and Assignment System (EDAS), research and correct data accuracy issues on Soldier records within the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A), TAPDB-AE, and manage Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate (EPMD) web page.

Duties

Collaborate with action officers, command's computer specialists, and private contractors to effect changes in the Enlisted Distribution and Assignment System (EDAS) and IPPS-A ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations, for development and modifications to web pages executed or managed by organization/higher command level. Senior HR Specialist responsible for maintaining the Organizational Database within the Total Army Personnel Database – Active Enlisted (TAPDB-AE). Liaisons closely with numerous organization action officers, command's computer specialists, and private contractors to effect changes in the Soldiers record, thereby ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Provides proactive, responsive, and respectful customer service support to organization action officers, command's computer specialists, private contractors, S1s/G1s, and organization personnel/PAS Chiefs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time.

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service in applying extensive knowledge of military personnel management to analyze each data accuracy issue; researching, analyzing, making recommendations, and correcting data accuracy issues on Soldier's records using military HR systems; Serving as a team member for Web Based actions, using web based technology to implement and update web and social media pages; providing programmers with test data and a systems test plan and preparing databases for testing; and providing customer service to customers at levels from Soldier to enterprise level on detailed aspects of Soldier data accuracy and organizational database maintenance. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
