About the Position: This position is located at US Army MSCoE, Homeland Defense/ Civil Support Office on Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri. Ft Leonard Wood is located in South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Mo. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Serve as a training specialist with the responsibility for developing and/or reviewing a variety of Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE), Homeland Defense/Civil Support Office (HD/CSO) training products.
Perform and coordinate results of analysis, design and development process to identify and describe individual tasks under development.
Assist training developers with the revision of Programs of Instruction (POIs) and Course Management Plans impacted by the development of distance learning products.
Maintain an audit trail documenting decisions made, and actions taken for each phase of the development process. Perform quality control and standardization checks for modules/products delivered.
Develop Training Requirements Analysis System (TRAS) documents within Training Development Capabilities (TDC) Database for all MSCoE, HD/CSO for individual training.
Perform extensive analysis of accumulated data and information on multimedia training packages. Utilize automation data processing support equipment in the production of training products.
Review and extract elements of training and doctrinal supporting information required for the design and development of unit, crew, and individual training packages.
Review instructional material and related training aids and devices used in conducting the training for MSCoE, HD/CSO courses.
Review staff and make suggested changes to lesson plans and course materials (training manuals, programs of instruction, training materials, etc.) as required by the introduction of new equipment and/or techniques.
Maintain liaison with and obtains information from instructors and instructional specialists with the organizations and in other training organization or activities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: developing distance learning instructional materials; conducting analysis on training products; maintaining audit trails; and reviewing instructional material and related training aids and devices used in conducting training for Homeland Defense/Civil Support Office courses. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
