About the Position: : You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant performing a variety of assignments providing technical and procedural support to the Administrative Officer and staff of the Administrative Section of the Willamette Valley Project.
Duties
Monitor identified programs or processes to determine discrepancies and problems.
Assist with administrative functions and office support, recruit strategies for filling positions, and writing/reviewing Policy and Correspondences.
Assist employees with benefits, travel, training, and Worker's Compensation issues.
Track statuses of employee performance appraisals, trainings, time and attendance and other reporting needs.
Maintain financial data and serve as a government credit card holder, related to training and payment of physicals, in conformance with budgetary guidelines.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience or the educational requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualified applicants at the GS-05 level will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in federal service with using Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel and reviewing documented guidance for instruction.
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Qualified applicants at the GS-06 level will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in federal service with using Microsoft Office program including Word and Excel and researching policies or documented guidance to advise on administrative procedures.
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Qualified applicants at the GS-07 level will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in federal service with advising on administrative procedures, tracking time and attendance records, and tracking invoices and payments.

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
