Job opening: SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will serve as the Division Head of the N422 Aviation Analysis Division. You will direct the development of techniques to process fleet usage data, the update of Bills of Material, and the modeling of future allowance requirements. You will be responsible for development and management of sales quotes, fixed requirements, and planned program requirements You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short term priorities, and prepare schedules for the completion of work.

Qualifications

You must demonstrate one year of specialized experience performing Supervisory Supply Management Specialist work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector determining requirements for aviation afloat, shore, and marine inventories. I have experience utilizing automated supply databases to research and develop new and improved supply methods and procedures. I also have experience supervising subordinate employees performing supply related work, assigning work, evaluating performance, and handling personnel matters. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Planning the development, maintenance, and analysis of models and tools used for Aviation repairable and consumable allowance products throughout the Navy and Marine Corps Command; 2) Reviewing, implementing, and recommending polices pertaining to aviation and support equipment materials provided to ships, shore stations and marine sites of tactical commands in support of military operations; 3) Directing and approving plans concerning scheduling automated data programs and analyzing projects for the improvement of supply support and associated projects; 4) Evaluating subordinates against performance standards, reviewing performance of personnel rated by Branch supervisors, and writing and/or approving award recommendations.
