You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will plan, organize, and oversee efforts and projects that are aimed at achieving and improving the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of program accomplishments. You will manage short- and long-range planning activities that include multi-year work plans that are the products of subordinate organizational projects/programs. You will develop priorities for effective use of resources. You will transition successfully demonstrated technologies that enhance environmental compliance at Navy installations worldwide. You will act as the Lead Environmental Coordinator for NAVFAC EXWC.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to complete the necessary courses required for certification as a COR and any subsequent continuing training requirements necessary within the established time frames.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, organizing, and oversees efforts and projects that are aimed at achieving and improving the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of program accomplishments; 2) Managing short and long range planning activities that include multi-year work plans that are the products of subordinate organizational projects/programs; 3) Leading meetings with internal staff and representatives from external agencies and industry to determine program status; and 4) Developing models for managing various issues, identifying and resolving problems that are barriers to achieving goals. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
