You will serve as a SENIOR SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL in the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 through GS-15. This position has no control point.

Duties

You will Identify total ownership costs and total life cycle costs. You will Develop and maintain relationships with Service Counterparts. You will Develop and maintain Product Support / Intergrated logistics Support (ILS) requirements for assigned systems and material. You will oversee subordinate supervisors concerning policies, budgets, business processes, and resource oversight. You will ensure adequate contractual vehicles (capacity and type) are planned or in place to execute the Buy Plan. You will identify and resolved schedule, resource or organizational problems and initiate corrective actions.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 to GS-14 or NT-3 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing managerial and consultative services to satisfy operational requirements for program management and Acquisition of DoD platforms; 2) Resolving technical and managerial problems within acquisition programs or system life-cycle management; 3) Managing and determining economic feasibility of acquisition programs; and 4) Developing briefings, presentations and technical reports.
