As a Supervisory Facilities Services Specialist you will be responsible for all facets of facility management to include daily operations and maintenance, construction/alterations, personal property management, physical security, and support services programs.

Duties

Supervises a team of federal and contract employees to provide all facets of day-to-day facilities management and maintenance, logistical services, executive driving services, administrative services, and personnel property asset management ensuring optimum efficiency, effectiveness, and economy of operations throughout the agency.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service

  • Suitability for Federal employment, as determined by a background investigation
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
  • Selection may require completion of a one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period unless met during prior Federal service
  • Within 30 days of your start date, you will be required to file a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAC-COR Level II Certification
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License

Qualifications

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your experience in facilities management, more specifically with regard to the following areas: 1. Leading a team in day-to-day facilities maintenance and logistic services to include office moves, executive driving and fleet management, conference room set-up, mail and courier services, administrative services, and personal property management; 2. Managing facility and asset related capital planning and budget efforts to include providing input to long-range facility program planning, policy development, and program execution; 3. Planning alterations and improvements to physical facilities, working with a building lessor or delegated representative to ensure lessor compliance with lease requirements; 4. Managing an inventory and personal property program (conducting utilization studies, periodic inventories, and interpreting regulations governing property accountability and utilization). Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This announcement may be used to fill similar positions, if additional vacancies occur.
