About the Position: This position supports the mission of the Program integration Division. The Program Integration Division is part of the Special Staff, and the Chief of the Division reports directly to the DHA Deputy Director and it is located in Falls Church, Virginia.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Duties
Support the Chief, Program Integration Division in the development and implementation of congressional and legislative strategies to promote the strategic goals and objectives of the ASD(HA) and Director, DHA.
Respond to written and verbal requests for information from Members of Congress, their staff members, as well as professional staff members from the defense oversight committees.
Prepare evaluations of program status and compliance with legislative requirements, and organizes and summarizes data for senior DoD officials to prepare them for meetings with OSD(PandR) on Congressional issues, meetings and hearings with Congress.
Assist in the management of the DHA/OASD(HA) process for responding to congressional requests by analyzing, evaluating, and assisting in interpreting the Congressional request.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Basic Requirements for Program Analyst GS-0343-13:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with responses to congressional requests; aiding in the evaluation of program compliance issues; and interacting with Congressional staff/Members of Congress. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
