Duties
You will supervise and manage activities performed by assigned personnel.
You will determine necessary actions to plan, establish and develop overall operational logistics criteria and ensure allocation and proper use of resources.
You will ensure integration, coordination, and execution of maintenance management operations, concepts, policies and procedures into a cohesive, comprehensive Army logistics management plan to support the LRC mission.
You will perform supply and maintenance workload analysis, and coordination with applicable LRC Material Management Divisions, and contractor operated maintenance operations.
You will serve as a functional subject matter expert, who provides direction and staff level oversight of geographically dispersed Logistic Readiness Centers (LRCs) under the cognizance of Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) area of support (AOS).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a deployable DA Civilian position. As such, incumbent must pass an initial and annual medical examination and receive/remain up to date on required immunization for the overseas or deployed location.
- This position is designated as Emergency Essential (EE). The incumbent provides immediate and continuing support to combat operations and/or supports maintenance, repair of combat essential systems, and other logistics operations.
- The incumbent must perform duty in a combat zone after evacuation of nonessential personnel in connection with a war, a national emergency declared by Congress or the President.
- The position will not be authorized to be filled by a member subject to recall to active duty as a member of the Armed Forces due to the necessity to perform duties without interruption.
- Incumbent must sign DD Form 2365 and maintain medical, security, performance, honorable conduct and overall fitness suitable for assignment to an austere and stressful combat environment.
- Position may require temporary duty (TDY) of any length including 6 months in duration or longer in CONUS or OCONUS in austere locations.
- This position requires incumbent to be ready and able to deploy as required in support of varied contingencies (humanitarian relief, exercises, national emergency, military operations, peace support operations, conflicts, war, etc...).
- Work performed will be under stressful, arduous, and austere field conditions in CONUS or OCONUS. Failure to deploy when designated for a contingency assignment may result in separation from Federal service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing direction and guidance on logistics readiness; interpreting logistics policies to determine impact on material maintenance program; and experience identifying logistical problem areas by analyzing and evaluating reports and related documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
