This position is part of the Office of Public Affairs, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be analyzing and developing administrative policies, procedures and its components, as well as managing the Director's calendar, arranging domestic and foreign travel for the office.
Duties
As a full performance level GS-12 Management and Program Analyst, you will:
Research and develop policies by providing administrative support.
Arrange domestic and international travel, the Director's office calendar, and organizing conferences.
Develop techniques to improve the processing and handling of correspondence and inquiries.
Inform staff members on existing and updated administrative policies, procedures, and requirements.
Support justification for changes to administrative policies in promoting sound administrative practices.
Support Senior Analysts by providing technical guidance on the appropriate analysis and evaluation method to achieve project objectives.
Requirements

- This position does not support 100% remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 2 days per pay period.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS GS-11: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 2 of 3 of the following:
Aiding in the research and development of Public Affairs policies;
Supporting the office in scheduling meetings, managing the calendar, and creating domestic and international travel arrangements;
Educating staff members on existing and updated administrative policies, procedures, and requirements.
OR
Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or at least 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. if related.
OR
Possess a combination of education and experience that together meets the requirements for this position.
You must submit your transcripts if qualifying by education or a combination of experience and education.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
