Duties

You will assist with customer support requests through the Service Desk. You will process customer requests into the appropriate business tools and or team. You will assist with surge customer relationship management tasking for Business Agreements relative to induction to sustainment of any IT requirements. You will lead customer requirement meetings to onboard and architect customer solutions.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411, proficiency level basic. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

(DS-02/03/04): Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing oversight and reporting of all acquisition and Service Desk requests, ensuring execution meets requirements. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Processing customer requests into the appropriate business tools and or team. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Supporting customer requirement meetings to onboard and architect customer solutions. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzing IT problems to evaluate and make recommendations. (DS-04) In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09/10) or pay band (DS-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Managing customer relationship portfolio management tasking to include Business Agreements relative to induction to sustainment of any IT requirements; 2) Leading customer requirement meetings to onboard and architect customer solutions; 3) Leading rate development and service definition for fiscal year services and agreements; 4) Developing business plans for service delivery approval and funding; 5) Managing asset lifecycle in support of purchase, receiving, processing, and tracking; and 7) Leading operational efforts to align programs with policy and procedures. (DS-03): In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/8) or pay band (DS-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing IT problems or requests to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recommending and/or implementing solutions; 2) Working with customers to assess their IT needs, provide information or assistance, and align requests to available products and services; 3) Communicating IT information orally and in writing to individuals, including customers and leadership, taking into account the audience and nature of the information. (DS-02): Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the four competencies listed above. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

(DS-03): Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
Have successfully completed 2 full years (36 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

(DS-02): Have successfully completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
