Duties
Oversee the development of and provide direction for new Kitting activities.
Research various information sources to determine whether there is an existing kit or whether the kit is feasible before establishing a new kit.
Interfaces with a wide range of other EBS jobs to include but not limited to Kitting Operation Specialist, Stock Positioning Specialist, Packaging Specialist, Demand and Material Planners on the processing of new Kitting orders.
Provides guidance or training to lower grades, new hires, or others as necessary.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Kitting Strategic Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Assists in the development of and provides direction for new Kitting activities.
- Research various information sources to determine whether there is an existing kit or whether the kit is feasible before establishing a new kit.
- Experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple functional specialists, Product Specialist, Packaging Specialists, Material Planners, Demand Planners, Acquisition Specialist, Customer Account Specialist, and or Weapon System Support Mangers (WSSMs).
- Identifies the need for kits based on customer requests.
- Conduct independent analysis and investigation of issues impacting the Kitting process.
