About the Position: This position will serve as a Training Instructor (C-UAS) with 30th ADA BDE, Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Duties

Conduct training on subjects in one or more courses covering the components of the Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) systems, Command and Control Computers, Communications and Intelligence (C4I), and associated electronics. Follow the approved programs of instruction (POI) and prepares lesson plans for each subject. Analyze training materials to assure instructional techniques are effective and efficient. Conduct validation and reliability studies to determine overall educational effectiveness of training products. Assist in the preparation and submission of changes to proponent military occupational specialties (MOS) descriptions, and all other ASI-producing C-UAS equipment. Review incoming doctrinal literature from other schools and TRADOC for possible effects on C-UAS and Forward Area Air Defense systems live fire training.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • May be required to conduct irregular hours of instruction.
  • This position requires the incumbent to perform temporary duty (TDY) away from home station at 25% of the time or more.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes the following: Analyze Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) systems educational materials to ensure instructional techniques are effective and efficient; Develop programs of instruction (POI) for modifications pertaining to C-UAS systems equipment; and Conduct training on subjects in one or more courses covering the components of the C-UAS systems.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Adult Education. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and TrainingInstructional Delivery and Learner DevelopmentTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
