About the Position: Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Eustis oversees eleven contracting offices within the MICC, providing them with contract support, business advice, and acquisition oversight. The MICC provides Army Commands, installations, and activities with responsive contracting solutions and oversight.

Duties

Serve as a subject-matter expert for all contracting matters within the organization. Analyze contract methods to procure large, highly complex equipment systems, programs or services where little or no contractual precedent exists. Conduct extensive negotiations during all phases of the procurement process. Monitor subcontracting for compliance with plans. Present sensitive recommendations to higher authority, to obtain compliance with policies. Perform detailed analysis of proposals received to ensure strict compliance with specifications on negotiated procurements.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GS-12: Specialized Experience required for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience performing pre-award or post-award procurement functions; and 2) Experience evaluating cost analysis to conduct negotiation of contract prices, terms and conditions; and 3) Experience implementing contractual guidance and processes for the procurement of goods and/or services.
