This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Communications and Public Liaison in Washington, DC. This position is in the Office of Marketing and Customer Service and the incumbent designs and produces graphics and multimedia displays.
Duties
Graphic Design:
Serves as a visual arts and graphic designer of the Agency's publication and outreach materials, and coordinates with those providing internal and external printing production services.
Creates, designs, produces and prepares graphic art and visual information products for the Agency.
Designs web content and illustrative material required for special SBA meetings, projects and conferences, or in cooperation with other government agencies.
Collaboration and Planning:
Provides SBA program officials, as well as the Administrator, Deputy Administrator, Associate Deputy Administrators, Assistant Administrators and Associate Administrators with expert, specialized technical graphic and visual arts direction for designing and producing professional and cost-effective visual information concerning Agency policies, programs and objectives.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- This is a bargaining unit position at the AFGE Local 228.
- This is not a drug testing position.
Qualifications
GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector which includes 1) mastery in using Adobe Creative Cloud software, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Publisher to develop creative products including fillable form templates, PowerPoint presentations, and infographics; AND 2) having basic training and/or experience with Tricaster or similar video production equipment. This must be clearly referenced on your resume.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled
