If more than 5 pages are submitted, only the first 5 pages will be reviewed to determine your eligibility/qualifications About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance.

Duties

Prepare work station requirements (WSR) and requisitions for reparable, parts and/or materials required to meet production shop work schedules, based on interpreting LMP system of record data, allowable stock levels, and projected workload. Receive materials, parts, components, and assemblies ordered or to be re-worked. Examine items received to verify identity, quantity, and work order number, checks for discrepancies such as wrong, untagged, or damaged items. Using LMP dispatches reparable/materials through shops in accordance with schedules, considering priorities and sequence. Operate material movement equipment such as forklift, roll-lift, aircraft tug, scooter, and pallet jack to transport materials from and to customer work centers and/or staging areas. Perform various duties to expedite parts, end items, supplies, and materials into or out of shops involved with the overhaul, repair, modification of aircraft, their structures, components, parts, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain driver's license required in the operation of a forklift.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid civilian driver's license issued by a State or U. S. possession in order to obtain and keep current a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical.
  • This position requires a personnel security background check (Tier 1 – Non-Sensitive, Low Risk).

Qualifications

However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Expediter (Forklift Operator) ~ without more than normal supervision. Resumes will be reviewed for experience which provided: common duties: receiving, storing, and shipping supplies, materials, or equipment. Initiating supplemental work orders and shop materials request.- Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Regularly handles up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. Constant kneeling, crouching, stooping, and walking is required. Will be required to operate material handling equipment to include a forklift, roll-lift, scooter, aircraft tug, and pallet jack, using moderate effort in operating hand and foot controls while driving, turning, starting, and stopping the forklift truck and raising, lowering, and tilting the loads being moved. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed indoors in well-lighted and ventilated production shop area. Regularly exposed to possible injury associated with handling equipment and to shop noises, dirt, and fumes.
