You will serve as an IT PROJECT MANAGER in the Information Technology & Cyber Security Department (Code 109) of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF).

Duties

You will serve as an IT) Project Manager and technical authority (TA) in the activities of the Physical Security IT Support Branch responsible for identifying physical security IT service operational requirements for the command. You will provide technical leadership in functions related to Automated Access Control System (AACS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) system, and Closed-Circuit Television system, turnstile, and annunciator. You will ensure the rigorous application of physical security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of customer support services in accordance with NAVSEA 08 guidance. You will review and conduct extensive analyses of largely undefined factors and conditions to determine the physical security requirements to determine technology services and feasibility. You will oversee, plan, manage, and direct security system analysis, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, quality assurance, configuration, implementation, integration, and maintenance of various access/egress/monitoring services. You will diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents regarding a myriad of IT issues and support higher-level problem solving. You will ensure all PSNS and IMF physical security systems are always in compliance with Navy and DoD security policies and procedures. You will plan the delivering for the customer physical security products through engineering design, determining scope and availability of infrastructure, interfacing with outside entities, developing cost estimates, and obtaining preapprovals.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • You may be required to lift or carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 802, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:integrating and communicating IT and physical security systems and projects to plan or coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, or maintenance of hardware, software, and security systems to ensure cyber and physical security. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
