This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Host & Compute Special Services Line Of Business.
Duties
Designs, implements, and maintains multi-user databases.
Monitors and optimizes database performance and tunes database operations.
Ensures physical integrity of Database management software and databases through implementation of logging, backup and recovery processes.
Troubleshoots accessibility and availability problems and initiates corrective actions.
Ensures rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services.
Requirements

- This position is subject to Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the DoD 8140 policy series for the position's required CYBER Work Role(s).
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL 2016 and/or newer, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and/or newer administration and experience using Windows Powershell to extract information from enterprise wide data sets, conduct analysis, recommend courses of action to leadership, and deploy solutions with minimal impact to services.

Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-12 grade level.
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the
U.S. Department of Education.
