You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Command/Admin Program of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.
Duties
You will advise managers on methods for improving efficiencies with new processes and procedures.
You will compile information needed to complete reports recommending improvements to program operations.
You will create process improvement initiatives for a program.
You will document ways to improve an operating program's effectiveness.
Requirements

Qualifications
For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing assistance to the Executive Director; 2) Administering, coordinating, monitoring, and appraising the regional installation command functions; 3) Making recommendations to the Commander on emergent issues; 4) Developing brief papers to support best business practices, policies and visions to the operations customers, communities, Commanders and other high-level groups; and 5) Coordinating with Regional Business Office, Installation and Region Program Director counterparts to benchmark and share resource and procedural ideas within Navy Region Hawaii. For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Review command correspondence for content and format to ensure compliance with the regional vision and Commander's intentions; 2) Provide background information, prepared comments, and speeches for scheduled meetings and events; 3) Compiling information and preparing reports on administrative issues (e.g., statistical data, educational analysis); 4) Analyzing an organization or management function to identify processes or procedures to improve organizational structure; and 5) Documenting ways to improve an operating program's effectiveness. Education
For the GS-12 ONLY: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR
Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
