About the Position: Serve as Management Analyst for the USAFMSA Special Programs (SPO) Division and as technical expert for the Division's HQDA directed and assigned Special Activities operations. Conduct special projects (i.e. reviews, assessments, evaluations, inspections, advisories) of major importance to oversight and management of Army Force Management, at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Duties
Coordinate daily activities with Senior Management Analysts and peers, ensuring compliance with all policy and regulatory requirements.
Identify potential opportunities for improvement in routine business processes to Senior Management Analysts.
Participate in major staff studies and incorporates operational plans and policies in analysis.
Coordinate complex analytical and quantitative analysis, formulates findings across broad areas, resolves areas of contention.
Plan work to accomplish, implements policy and procedures, and tracks priorities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel (CONUS and OCONUS) may be required up to 50 percent of the time. Must meet Combatant Command deployment requirements, when necessary.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Position requires completion of one (1) year probationary period unless the requirement has been previously met.
- Position requires Cycic Polygraph Testing.
- Position requires Drug Testing
- May be required to work overtime or compensatory time.

Specialized Experience at the GS 13 grade level: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to develop manpower documentation standards, and complex program functions; applying interpersonal skills to advise, negotiate, mediate, and reconcile differences of opinions to reach concrete, and satisfactory solutions; utilizing public laws, statutes, regulations, and policies to establish appropriation, control, and use of manpower and funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
