About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This position assists in governing a broad range of programs and services addressing the needs and challenges of service members and their families.

Duties

Develop strategies for resolution of systemic and individual problems; identify deficiencies in existing programs. Incorporate trends analysis of program requirements into policy recommendations for military exchanges. Develop strategies supporting the implementation and administration of policy and strategic plans. Establish and nurture relationships with national, state, local, and military leaders with vested with vested interests in improving quality of life for service members and their families. Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements, management principles, and/or the application of technology for military exchange programs and services. Review military exchange programs for potential efficiencies based on joint service initiatives and/or federal partnership opportunities. Deliver presentations and provide training to military and civilian audiences on programs and services available for service members and their families.

Requirements

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
