About the Position: Serves as the Battalion S4 primary staff logistics officer for battalion level logistics performing a variety of logistics management operations. Plans, coordinates, analyzes and evaluates the logistics policies, plans methods, procedures, systems and actions required to support the organization's programs and missions for six subordinate companies (includes Battalion Motor Pool and Maintenance Management Division).
Duties
Supervise the battalion S4 shop, one senior supply sergeant, one supply NCO, and two supply specialists.
Perform supervisory duties to plan, assign, and direct work to be accomplished by subordinates.
Review, study, and develop new or revised policies, plans, and standard operating procedures (SOP) pertaining to assigned functions for implementation within the organization.
Reconcile monthly Government Services Administration (GSA) vehicle billing.
Utilize operational expertise in the areas of supply, transportation, equipment management and procurement.
Coordinate battalion level events such as training events, office functions, and competitions.
Conduct special studies and investigations related to the acquisition, utilization, repair and maintenance of equipment, and property accountability.
Ensure use of the bank's Customer Automated Reports Environment (CARE) electronic access system is mandatory for all Army accounts.
Prepare for the Logistical Readiness Review (LRR), collect logistics data, build briefing slides and brief the battalion commander and the Regiment Deputy Commander on logistical matters monthly.

Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- The incumbent in this position is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- You may be expected to travel up to 20% of the time for this position.
- The incumbent is required to complete a 1 year Supervisory Probationary Period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of logistics management operations including assisting with the development of logistics local policies, processes, and/or programs; identifying problems and developing resolution for issues; assisting with the coordination and management of assigned logistics programs; and gathering data to support logistics management actions. his definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07)
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics or Supply Chain Managment.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
