Duties
You will serve as a Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI) Mobilization Planner at the Army Field Support Battalion – Hawaii (AFSBn-HAW).
You are responsible for installation logistics mobilization, future and current operations, associated with planning and execution of Army mobilization and deployment concepts.
You will conduct planning and coordination to develop contingency mobilization and deployment concepts of support for a Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI).
You will formulate and tracks execution of the approved course of action supporting the IDSP and analysis encompassing all aspects of logistics support at an MFGI.
You will make inquiries and secures information to set conditions in order to execute contingency mobilization and deployment operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.
- Position may require short notice TDY for periods up to 179 days.
- During exercises or during periods of operations, overtime and/or shift work may be required.
- Designated Mission Essential Position: Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Commander.
- May be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends, i.e., mandatory overtime; subject to recall to duty. Incumbent must maintain a functioning telephone to aid in contact during recall/emergency situations.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 50% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) analyzing readiness metrics for mobilization/redeployment units; 2) participating in mobilization and planning special studies, exercises, and execution; and 3) conducting staff assistant visits with customers to improve transportation and readiness programs and/or initiatives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
