Duties
You will serve as the Transportation Division Chief responsible for oversight and coordination of the installation transportation program, including tenant activities and geographic areas of support.
You will plan and manage Transportation Division activities within available resources to provide optimum response to needs and requirements of assigned, attached and/or supported elements of the installation.
You will serve as advisor to the LRC Director on overall matters relating to the division and serves as LRC's subject matter expert relating to transportation issues.
You will coordinate work of the Transportation Division with installation staff activities and with organizations and units to whom support services are provided.
You will provide Plans, Program and Installation Logistics Baseline Support (ILBLS) Policy support to Military and Civilian Tenant Organizations.
Requirements

- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 25% of the time.
- This position is designated as a “Key” position. This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impacting the organization’s ability to function effectively.
- This position is designated as Mission Essential.
- The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing complex administrative, technical and professional services which involves improving efficiency and effectiveness of a complex multi-mission installation; planning and/or directing positive and effective programs designed to meet the functional needs of the organization's mission; coordinating movement of passengers, personal property and general freight via motor, rail and water services; experience managing a government transportation motor pool using vehicles leased or contracted from the General Services administration; and technical management of a departure/arrival airfield control group operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
