The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior professional electronics engineer with systems engineering responsibility in assigned area(s).
Duties
In this position,you willserve as the Datalink SME supporting related capabilities for F-35 Mission Systems. The position requires general knowledge of CNI capabilities to assist in other areas as required. Duties include:
- Coordinating requirements, design, and integration of CNI Systems hardware and software products. Reviewing and disposition of hardware variances and change requests.
- Reviewing and assessing Datalink related AR's, DR's, SPRs, and SPAR's and their impacts to F-35 CNI design and determine appropriate closure plan.
- Supporting and coordinating Operational Analysis tasks involving CNI Datalinks.
- Managing Risk Reduction and sustainment cost reduction activities.
- Coordinating with LM and Suppliers to identify, assess, monitor, execute, and provide leadership status on CNI DMS, affordability, and innovation initiatives.
- Assisting the Datalink Roadmap development and sustainment to include DMS, Technology insertions, and future development.
- Supporting Datalink product integrity and closure on technical issues.
- Assisting the development of test plans and procedures and verifies CNI requirements are met.
- Coordinating and managing Datalink certification processes with external governing Agencies/Services.
- Ensuring Datalink integration with F-35 Air System
- Coordinating Datalink interoperability with other platforms and users
- Technical knowledge of assigned competency area or considered fully proficient; may require minimal supervision and/or guidance.
- Independently defines, directs or leads highly challenging projects.
- Select supervisory positions at the branch/flight level. Tactically focused supporting day-to-day operations/activities.
- Position contributes up to the highest level of duties/responsibilities of the NH-III Factors (Job -- Achievement and/or Innovation, Mission
- Support, Communication and/or Teamwork).

- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an institution with an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
4. Knowledge of systems engineering practices and procedures as they pertain to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management principles, concepts, policies, and systems; of standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and of other engineering disciplines.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
Education
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an institution with an ABET accredited engineering program.
