You will serve as a Career Readiness Specialist in the Personal & Professional Development Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will serve as one of four primary Specialists providing career coaching, resume/job search assistance, job search workshops.
You will be responsible for all customer services to be received through the Marine and Family Career Centers.
You will review career assessment results with customers to provide career coaching services.
You will ensure current job announcements and vacancies are posted continually within the Career Centers.
You will provide technical assistance and guidance in locating career information related to customers' interests, goals, and aptitudes.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Career Readiness Specialist. Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Providing career counseling/coaching, job placement assistance, career development, vocational counseling, and career center management; 2) Organizing training workshops and conferences to encourage the acceptance and understanding of programs; 3) Working with budget planning, budget execution, and personnel administration to perform budget execution; 4) Reviewing resume formats, content, data, Federal applications, and employer application procedures; and 5) Exhibiting a knowledge of career counseling, coaching, and interviewing techniques to assess qualifications of candidates, determine career objectives, and make appropriate referrals.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
