You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Logistics Readiness Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will load/unload materials, bin, label, stock, sanitize, and rotate stock.
You will select and set up proper storage areas for material with the warehousing plan considering size, shape, quantity, use and possibility of damage or deterioration, contamination to or from other times.
You will be responsible for prepping, turning in, receiving, and reshelve returned gear.
You will enter required data into a database for shipping or disposal document, carcass tracking, and proof of shipment and delivery.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform a full range of tasks of a material handler to include experience performing a majority of the following duties with minimal supervision; receiving, issuing, handling, preparing for shipment, segregating, storing, inventorying, distributing and documenting the movement and storage of supplies, equipment and materials, in accordance with prescribed regulations; reading and preparing shipping documents; utilizing automated systems to input, update and extract data; operating automated equipment such as optical readers, scanners, computer terminals, and barcode wands to process incoming stock; Pack and protect items with standard shipping/wrapping material; select proper storage areas for material with the warehousing place considering size, shape and quantity; operating material handling equipment and motor vehicles to relocate, arrange, stack and palletize items. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
