Duties
The United States Space Force's (USSF) Chief Human Capital Office (CHCO) is looking to hire MULTIPLE well-versed Military HR Specialists to support HR functions and the implementation and integration of the Congress-approved Space Force Personnel Management Act.
All duty locations are located in the National Capital Region, with flexible telework schedule.

Positions:
1. Chief, Military Force Management (NH-0201-4) - Supervisory/Leader, Subject Matter Expert.
Will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of military and civilian personnel, providing well researched, subject matter expertise and for developing essential compensation and benefits programs for the Service.
MUST HAVE: knowledge of the full spectrum of force management, officer and enlisted promotions, evaluations, readiness, fitness, assignments, joint officer management, military uniforms, awards and decorations and how each impacts the others. Skilled in developing, interpreting and implementing policy and law. Experience preparing material for, briefing and providing recommended courses of action to General Officers and/or Senior Executive leadership.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Will be a strong leader with experience developing, implementing, and interpreting military personnel policy related to military force management. Experience and understanding in part-time military statuses and a broad experience in military personnel management; working at an Agency-level HQ, leading teams, task management, responding to Congressional inquiries and/or writing reports to Congress, writing legislative proposals, developing and writing Service-level military personnel policy using legal/policy authorities and developing, implementing and managing service level personnel policies.
2. Deputy Director, Senior Leader Management (NH-0201-4) - Senior Team Lead, Subject Matter Expert.
Will be responsible for providing well researched, subject matter expertise and for developing, advising, and executing succession planning, joint management, promotions and assignments, and retirements for senior leaders in the Service. This also includes developing senior leader related policy and legislative inputs.
MUST HAVE: Experience evaluating executive level talent management that includes general officers, colonels, and senior enlisted to ensure planning and programming is aligned to meet the mission requirements. Skilled in developing, interpreting and implementing policy and law.
Experience preparing material for, briefing and providing recommended courses of action to General Officers and/or Senior Executive leadership.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Experience and understanding in part-time military statuses, General Officer management; working at an Agency-level HQ, leading teams, task management, responding to Congressional inquiries and/or writing reports to Congress, writing legislative proposals, developing and writing Service-level military personnel policy using legal/policy authorities and experience developing, implementing, and managing service level talent management and promotion boards.
3. Chief, Military Status, Participation and Assignments Policy (NH-0201-4) - Team Lead, Subject Matter Expert
Will be responsible for providing well researched, subject matter expertise and for developing essential status, participation, assignments, and fitness programs for the Service.
MUST HAVE: Experience developing, implementing, and interpreting military personnel policy related to military assignments (e.g., permanent, temporary, humanitarian, reassignment, status/participation based), comprehensive force management, fitness, utilization, readiness, entitlements, and a possesses high level of understanding how each impacts the others. Skilled in developing, interpreting and implementing policy and law. Experience preparing material for, briefing and providing recommended courses of action to General Officers and/or Senior Executive leadership.

Requirements

- Flexible telework schedule available.
- PCS Funds are available.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
