About the Position: This position may be filled a TERM appointment Not To Exceed 30 SEPT 2027. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond 6 six years, but not more than 8 years. This position may not be made permanent. Please see notes under additional information.
Duties
Serve as a Plans and Assessments Manager responsible for the planning, coordination, synchronization, execution, and assessment of assigned plans.
Provide oversight and management of current plans and operations.
Provide oversight and management of Military Information Support Operations (MISO) plans, activities, and assessments.
Implement knowledge management practices to enhance shared understanding, learning, decision-making, and ensure continuity of operations.
Assess assigned programs for effectiveness and identifies shortfalls to provide recommendations.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing techniques, strategies, and policy implementation on operational concepts; advising on short/long-range strategic planning, development, and deployment of tasking and requirements; and maintaining relationships with other agencies on operational, organizational, and functional missions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
